Meissen Porcelain – White Gold
Our excursion starts at the first European Porcelain Workshop in Dresden and leads us all the way to the modern Meissen Porcelain Manufactory.
Our time travel starts in 1707/09 in Dresden. We are going on to Meissen where Elector Frederic Augustus I (the Strong) opened the first European Porcelain Manufactory at the Castle Albrechtsburg. Later the manufactory was moved down to the city where we can still watch the porcelain specialists today at work.
